How do alerts work?
Pick the alert types you care about and draw a zone around you. Anything new inside that zone lands on your map as a pin with a card, and, if alerts are on, as a push notification.
How do I change my zone?
Open Settings in the app and pick a radius of 1, 3, 5 or 10 miles. The map re-frames to the new zone straight away.
I am not getting notifications.
Open iOS Settings, find Responder AI, and make sure Notifications are allowed. Alerts only fire for the alert types you picked and only inside your zone, so a quiet map can simply mean a quiet area.
Why does it need my location?
To center your zone on you and find what is nearby. Location is read only while the app is open. You can turn it off in iOS Settings and the app will use a default area instead.
Where do the alerts come from?
They are generated automatically from public safety information and from official weather, geological and emergency alerts. They are not official reports and can be unconfirmed, so check official sources before acting.
A registry record looks wrong.
Registry records come from public state and federal registries and we cannot edit them. Contact the agency that publishes the record to have it corrected.
Can I use it to call for help?
No. Responder AI does not contact emergency services. In an emergency, call 911.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign up and no login.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app to remove everything stored on your phone. To ask what we hold on our side, or to have it deleted, email [email protected].
